Tuition & Grant/Aid
By choosing a Catholic school, a family is choosing to invest in a child's future. A future of college and career success, but more importantly the daily reminder to strive towards eternal reward in heaven. A Catholic school education is a financial investment, and our graduates and their families would attest that it is well worth it!
A financial investment in a Bishop Walsh School education has proven to be a remarkable investment as our seniors have generally garnered over $2,000,000 each year in college scholarships to prestigious and diverse colleges across the country.
The tuition breakdown is found below followed by more information on how our school works to make Catholic education affordable and accessible for all families who seek it.

FACTS is the tuition management and grant and aid platform used by the schools in the Archdiocese of Baltimore. All families are asked to create an account with FACTS to manage their tuition payments. The grant and aid application is housed on the same platform for every school, parish, and the Archdiocese of Baltimore assistance. Therefore, a family need apply only once for possible support from these various sources. More information about FACTS can be found on their website.
The Facts About FACTS Tuition Collection Plan
- FACTS Tuition Management collects tuition. Payments are withdrawn automatically from your Bank Checking or Savings account.
- Parents will receive an invoice in July. The invoice will have all charges itemized, with any financial assistance from the school and parishes deducted. The balance will be divided into equal payments based on the plan you choose. The exception to this is the senior class, whose tuition must be paid in full by April 30, 2016.
- FACTS will be provided with your balance. Automatic withdrawals will be made on the 5th or the 20th of each month.
- Bingo and F.A.C.E. credits will be deducted monthly which could allow you to adjust the amount of your final payment.
Grant & Aid
It is understood and appreciated the financial commitment and sacrifice families undertake in deciding to send their children to a Catholic school. And although paying for education is first and foremost the responsibility of a family, each school, parish and the Archdiocese of Baltimore devote significant funds each year to financial aid programs that help assist families. In turn, our school communities benefit by attracting students that otherwise would not be able to attend our schools.
All families seeking financial aid from Bishop Walsh and the Archdiocese of Baltimore can apply here: www.online.factsmgt.com/aid. The deadline for application is February 28th each year. Notice of awards is posted onto a family’s individual FACTS home page.
Families anticipating aid must apply each year. Due to the increasing numbers of families applying for aid, only those qualifying through the FACTS Tuition Assistance Program will be eligible to receive financial aid from the Archdiocese or the school. Catholic parishioners should contact your local pastor for more information on applying for tuition assistance through the parish.
Friends Assisting Catholic Education (F.A.C.E.) is a vendor rebate program available to all parents and friends of Bishop Walsh School. Participation in the F.A.C.E. program is mandatory to receive aid from the school or the local Catholic parishes. The F.A.C.E. program was implemented to supplement major school fundraisers. By using the program, families can defer this cost from their tuition bill. All families may purchase F.A.C.E. cards and apply them to current tuition accounts and may participate in the sweepstakes program to obtain tuition credits. Contact Debbie Hare with any questions at 301-724-5360 x211.
The school purchases gift cards from merchants at a discount price. The parents then purchase these cards from the school at full face value with the discount (earned by the school at the time of purchase) being applied to the parents tuition account. The cards are sold in the F.A.C.E. Office located in the main office area of the school five days a week from 8:15am until 2:30pm. If you wish you can send in an order with your student on any given day and it will be filled and sent home with your child at the end of that day.
This program can also be used through the www.glscrip.com website. If you shop out of town or have family and friends who will help you with this program, you may go to the website and check for additional participating vendors. If you wish to order, please send check made payable to Bishop Walsh School with your order and it will be placed for you. These orders are placed approximately twice a month.
